Somehow I missed this and just found out. So now Auto mode is not flat rate mode but it charges the full price for the model Auto mode decided to use. Which means there is not difference if I manually choose to use Fable for instance or Auto at some moment decides to use it for some task. The only positive for the Auto mode now is it saves you a click and little thinking because it is supposed to know better and switch to cost effective models. BUT at the same time Cursor does NOT give you any indication what models Auto uses and you can only find out digging into usage history at dashboard. This means it absolutely can exhaust all your tokens for a task simply because it decided to use ultra expensive model at that moment. Cur
